Awn Chaudhry, a key member of the Jahangir Khan Tareen (JKT) group, a schism within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has been appointed as the prime minister’s adviser on sports and tourism.
President Dr. Arif Alvi approved Awn Chaudhry’s appointment on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
In this regard, a notification has also been issued.
Awn Chaudhry’s position will be equivalent to that of a federal minister, according to the notification.
